My Dream
Becoming a Doctor for the People Who Need One Most

"I want the broadest foundation of knowledge — to treat people in all their complexity, not just their conditions." ~ G.S.S
Why I am Interested in Primary Care?
Primary Care allows me to provide care across all stages of life while building lasting, meaningful relationships with patients.
From my earliest days as a medical assistant, I saw how powerful it was when patients were cared for by someone who truly knew them — not just their symptoms, but their story. That experience sparked my interest in primary care, where continuity, trust, and long-term relationships are central. I’m drawn to a field where I can care for the whole person, not just their illness, and support them through every stage of life. In primary care, prevention, education, and community health aren’t add-ons — they’re at the core. It’s where I can combine science, empathy, and lasting impact in a way that truly matters.
The Physician I Want to Be
My dream is to become a physician who combines medical skill with empathy, trust, and cultural understanding.
I want patients to see me as someone who sees them. Someone who explains their diagnosis clearly, who listens without judgment, and who respects their values and experiences. I aspire to be the kind of doctor who remains calm under pressure but never grows cold. A teammate to other providers, a guide to patients, and a student of medicine for life. The best physicians I’ve worked with didn’t just treat disease—they treated people. That’s who I want to be.

Communities I Want to Serve
The people I care about most are often the ones with the least access to care—and they’re the reason I’m here.
Access to care shouldn’t depend on geography or income — but too often, it does. In both the U.S. and abroad, I’ve seen how underserved communities face delays, barriers, and a lack of trust in the healthcare system. These experiences sparked my commitment to primary care, where long-term relationships and prevention are prioritised.

These aren’t just statistics—they’re people I’ve known, loved, and seen in pain.

The Future I’m Building Towards
My goals go beyond becoming a physician—they include mentorship, advocacy, and global healing.
I dream of more than a title. I want to create change—through one-on-one patient care, through public health work, and by mentoring others like me who once wondered if they belonged. I hope to help design systems that heal more fairly. Whether I’m in a clinic, a classroom, or a policy room, I want to stand for dignity and equity in healthcare. This dream is personal, but it’s also shared. I carry the hopes of those who’ve trusted me with their stories, and I don’t take that lightly.
